We are a disabled couple.  I receive disability, my Significant Other  has applied for disability is waiting on it.  We own our own mobile home outright, just pay lot rent.   Neither one of us are able to work at this time.

We need help with a few items if possible.  We have exhausted our resources in our local community.  I am a former Social Worker/Counselor and know "the system"  This is a last ditch effort.  I am a real person, asking for real help.  We are getting desperate and seem to have lost hope.  I have tried every agency and area church and am at my wits end. Mny of the places we can only use once a year, and we cannot use them again until Fall.   Does anyone have any siggestions?  Until my SO's SSDI is approved, we are living on 700.00 a month plus food stamps. 

We need help with 1) Our electric bill  2)Help with getting my SO to his doctor and buying his medications.  He has COPD and Diabeties.    3) Some plumbing work. Our water is screwed up and do not have running water at this time. 4) our Phone Bill

The electric Bill is $101.00, doctor is about  $110.00, Phone is $105.00.  Plumbing costs are unknown. Costs are listed in case there are agencies I do not know about with limits to what they can give.

Hello all-

     A note for those of greater financial means and wisdom/insight for developing areas in need of development..Within the foothills of Denver, Colorado lies the community of Conifer. The main road which goes through this community is state highway 285.

     Development of the are involve a medical center (a branch of the Rose medical center), a Safeway, A King Soopers, a Staples office supply, an Ace hardware and a few other shops alongside of each larger store.

     The problem is this...along with the stores didn't come essential public services for bordering communities. Plumbing and heating services weren't added by the city of Conifer during the construction of said stores.

     Perhaps financial assistance is the culprit in this case? With the present economic climate and the uncertainty of the financial system, perhaps there are those who have the means for improving the present living conditions of the residents of Conifer?

     A resident of Conifer is reaching out to those who can grasp this opportunity and do the right thing...

I have a friend, who could really use a lot of help. I help them all I can But I am talking major help. My friends husband is about 9 and had a massive stroke. They live in a small house that is very run down and really in need of a roof and some major plumbing. Her daughter lives there and has 2 kids and her husband is in jail. Her daughter works in a at a small store and gas station, does not really make much money and she has been helping them out. They have not received their benefits from SSI or the VA yet. My friend can not work because the stroke of her husband was massive and he is now blind in one eye and has loss of some memory and doctors say he is not to be left a lone. This house is really the only thing they have and it is small but really run down, If anyone knows of some place that could help them please let me know. all info is greatly appreciated.

I and my wife are 74 plus years old and are in dier need of home repairs exterior and interior.  i was informed about your grants that assist the aging.  How can a get some assistance on this without worrying about repaying a loan as we are on a tight fixed income.

My family and I need to do quite a bit of work to our home.  The entire outside needs to be painted.  The bathrooms need to be remodeled.  The floors in the house need to be refinished.  Finally, the electrical components need to be upgraded.
